EU ambassador Marie-Anne Coninsx joined EU Chamber of Commerce president Celso Boscariol following a Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement seminar.
NEW EU CHAMBER: The September-signed Canada and European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement brought EU ambassador Marie-Anne Coninsx here recently. Before opening the EU Film Festival, she spoke to a seminar audience of 100 about partnership-building and other opportunities that will exist when and if the EU’s 28 national members ratify the agreement. Several present will likely become members of the fledgling EU Chamber of Commerce in Canada West, which expects to enroll 50 members in 2015, said executive director Alex Martyniak. He is also business-development and marketing director of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada – West, of which the EUCC is currently a satellite. President of both is city lawyer and federal-Liberal heavy Celso Boscariol, who co-founded the 350-member ICC in 1992.
