Nigel Thomson served as a Canadian Foreign Officer for the Canadian Government for eighteen years focusing on Canadian immigration and consular matters, in locations such as Trinidad and Tobago; New York City; South Africa; Mexico; Hong Kong and Seattle.
He left the Canadian Government in 2000 to become a Canadian Immigration Consultant in the private sector.
Mr. Thomson is a Registered Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) and a Member in good standing of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC).
He is active in regulatory and educational organizations promoting and supporting the regulation and education of immigration consultants in Canada. He has also been a past lecturer with the University of British Columbia (UBC) in their Certificate in Immigration program.
Mr. Thomson joined Watson Goepel in June 2015, specializing in Canadian immigration and citizenship law.
