Background and Professional Activities
Micah joined Watson Goepel as an articled student in 2015 and was hired as an associate after his call to the British Columbia bar in 2016. He attended the University of Toronto, obtaining an Honours Bachelor of Arts with high distinction in philosophy. Micah then earned his law degree from the University of Victoria.
While in law school, Micah was elected President of the Law Students’ Society. In his role as President, he served as the chief representative of UVic’s law students, and held responsibility for overseeing the Society’s operations, communications and finances. Micah used his position to co-found a law student legal advice clinic. The Access Pro Bono Student Clinic provides free legal advice to low-income individuals in Victoria, and provides law students with an opportunity to gain meaningful legal experience. Micah was also honoured with the Fasken Martineau Shield in recognition of his performance at the Gale Cup Moot in Toronto.
Away from the office, Micah is a hockey player, and an aspiring globetrotter.
