Cassidy joined Watson Goepel as an Articled Clerk in 2017. She acquired her Bachelor of Arts at the University of British Columbia, where she was a 3-time Academic All-Canadian and member of the Varsity Rugby team. She attended law school at Dalhousie University in Halifax, including an exchange semester in Southeast Asia.
While gaining her JD at the Schulich School of Law, she was awarded the Clyde W Sperry Award for Excellence in Property Law, the Ocean Yearbook Student Award in Law of the Sea, and the Alistair Fraser Award in Professional Responsibility. She was further awarded the Jenny Lau Prize in International Environmental Law & Policy from the National University of Singapore.
During law school, Cassidy worked as a peer tutor with the Indigenous Black & Mi’kmaq Initiative, as a research assistant for the Marine & Environmental Law Institute, and provided pro bono work to the Elizabeth Fry Society.
Outside of the firm, you can find her on the rugby pitch, experimenting wildly in the kitchen, or daydreaming about snowboarding.”
